Dynamical symmetry reduction and tomography of three-level atoms

I will discuss how the level structure of three-level atoms may the possible tomographic reconstructions of a system of three-level atoms. The particular case of the $\Sigma$ atom will be discussed in greater length with emphasis on the problem of selecting a finite set of transformations that will optimize the reconstruction.(work done in collaboration with Andrei Klimov and Dylan Mahler)
