International Iran Conference on Quantum Information 2014

IICQI 2014 was held in Isfahan, Iran, on 6-10 September, 2014. IICQI-14 is jointly organized by QI group of Sharif University of Technology and Isfahan University of Technology. The conference covered latest developments in theoretical and experimental quantum information science, feature talks by leading international researchers, and provided the opportunity for research discussions and collaborations between international and Iranian quantum information researchers. The conference was open to all participants regardless of nationality, gender, etc. but subject to the laws of Iran.

IICQI-14 will be held in Isfahan, on September 2014. Isfahan is located about 340km south of Tehran. The city has an international airport (with flights from, e.g., Turkish and Qatar airlines), and is well-connected to Tehran. You can fly to Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) and travel from there to Isfahan. If you want to stay in Tehran for a few days, the conference will provide accommodation for you in the IPM guest-house free of charge.

You will need a valid visa to attend the conference. According to the new regulations by the Iranian laws, tourist visa is issued in the airports of Tehran and Isfahan for maximum of 15 days for citizens of all countries except those from USA, Canada, and the UK. It is highly advisable that you first check with your airlines to make sure that you are allowed to board without having an Iran visa stamp on your passport. If you may need a visa before landing, please let us know well in advance. The organizing committee will make its best to assist you in your entry visa application, and will supply an official invitation letter (which is a required visa application document).

Once the participants are selected by the committee, they will be notified by email (by 4 June). Accepted applicants should pay their registration(+accommodation(+companion)) fee(s) to finalize their registration. To specify your (and your companions') accommodation status and determine your fees, you should submit the housing form. This step is mandatory for accepted applicants.

Payment

  • If you have already paid a portion of the required fees, you only need to pay the rest of it.
  • If you have already paid more than the required fees, the conference will pay back the residual fee at the registration desk, in Isfahan.
  • Participants from Iran must pay their fees only through Sharif online payment system.
  • International participants will pay their fees in cash at the conference on the registration day.
